Part two of my Dogwood series. This area located in the San Bernardino National Forest in California is situated in a densely wooded area with tall conifers and lush undergrowth. This image was taken as a fire was consuming almost 19000 acres or 48 square kilometers just a few miles away causing smoke to fill the surrounding forests. The smoke however created these crepuscular rays along the forest floor during the golden hour. photo
