Description:

Considered the heart of New York's Central Park, this is Bethesda Terrace. Park designers Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux envisioned a sweeping Promenade that led to a grand terrace overlooking the Lake. The magnificent carvings represent the four seasons. This is part 2 of 2: A picture within a picture. Utilizing the same vantage point as "Courage, dear heart" but, instead, standing directly in front of the Bethesda Fountain.
