To show family members who share the same phone plan, and above their heads we will add digital icons that represent apps and the things they like to use their phones for. The idea is that even though the family members don’t necessarily share the same interests, they can still share the data that their mobile value plan gives them.
Images of families where at least one of the subjects is looking at mobile device (phone or tablet).
• Images can include two parents with 1-3 kids, but it’s important to have 2 parents in the image.
• Enough space above heads to accommodate the addition of a digital icon – 1/3 of the image. The space should be clear of any other subjects so that the digital icon will not appear on top of another subject’s face or body.
• Although at least one of the subjects needs to be holding a mobile device, we must avoid showing the family members all glued to their devices and ignoring each other. The subjects need to feel like they’re engaged with one another. You should also not be able to recognize what brand mobile device the person is holding.
• Families can be shown in virtually any environment—backyard, airport, beach, anywhere people use their cell phones that typically wouldn’t also have wi-fi access. Avoid recognizable architecture/buildings that would require a location release.
• Avoid showing any brand logos, names, etc. in the photography. Clothing, background scenery, etc. should be devoid of any and all brands.
