A few months ago my thumb was smashed in a tractor accident breaking and smashing the bone five times and blowing out on the side. Being an avid violin player this was not good because the thumb is crucial for holding the bow. After nearly 5 months of not playing I finally can hold the bow well enough to play. Its not pretty the nail still has not grown back all the way and there are still many scars but I can play. photo
