"Leave the house". That was advice given by a prominent photographer (I can't remember who) when asked how to develop into an accomplished photographer. I take that to heart, and it's easy, as my wife and I have always been wanders, near and far. As a Graphic Designer, my career has been mostly one of developing visuals from preconceived ideas and for a specific purpose already decided upon. My photography allows me to use my graphic training in composition, but in a more spontaneous way. I enjoy finding images that stand on their own, and speak to me in some way without a need.
