Creative Statement

Only through our own failures can we learn to truly succeed.

I aspire to enhance the pre-existing beauty of each subject I photograph, while still remaining true to the subject's character. I believe it is embarrassing and insulting when someone hires a photographer to shoot a portrait, and are given a final product that, while aesthetically pleasing, is unrecognizable. I don't think anyone likes to hear "That's such a great photo of you! I didn't even recognize you!". My goal is to have every client walk away satisfied with a photograph that they truly believe is the best photo of themselves, and still looks like them.
