Creative Statement
Helping people see something common in a new way. Finding the intriguing small moment in a large event/scene. Making the viewer want to know more about what is going on in a photo. These are my goals as a photographer, whether I’m shooting a seemingly mundane event, a landscape/cityscape that’s been shot a thousand times, a police K9 in mid air or an intimate look between a couple. I take each subject and search for a way to shoot it in an unexpected way. I love it when a photo has an element of surprise or captures a moment/exchange that might not have been obvious to the naked eye.
