We are The Pilgramers - We quit our jobs to travel the country and empower people to collaborate with others in their local creative community.
Three years ago, we embarked on a similar journey, and we were overwhelmed by the response. We met thousands of creatives across the U.S.A. excited to meet new people and collaborate on projects. However, we recognized a trend in each city: Although creatives want to be involved in collaborative projects, they often lack the necessary network to do so.
Thus, our mission is to collide creatives, professionals, and entrepreneurs on parallel career paths and to unite project needs with people who can fill these needs.
We’re doing this in two ways:
1.) In the fall, we will be releasing the Pilgramers Mobile App—a human discovery tool intended to empower people to discover and collaborate with other members of their local creative community.
2.) On July 1st, 2015, we are embarking on the Pilgramers Summer Tour to embody the app in human form, physically and visually illustrating the value of creatives meeting up in person. We’ll illustrate this through A) Telling visually compelling stories of thriving creative communities—the lessons they have learned, the risks and rewards of collaboration, and anything remarkable we find on our journey. B) Hosting 12 events, one in each city, that facilitate collaboration among creatives.
