Creative Statement
I love photography even though I’m not the best at it. But my tenacity doesn’t let that stop me. Lemons to Lemonade...So I really love the desert sky at sunrise or sunset mostly and I started snapping shots of the clouds against the cliffs and mountains around the Las Vegas area. Some shots were perfect. But the ones that weren’t I couldn’t let go of for some reason. So while playing with filters I would sometimes see something that wasn’t there before, something the naked eye couldn’t normally or something completely different altogether. That became my thing. And that’s how I roll. My theme is always the sky so that’ll be the common thread in all my work. But if it’s the desert, beach, mountains I will go crazy and be backed up with projects for years. Also I found doing this to be very therapeutic for me after being diagnosed with PTSD.
