Creative Statement
I have been intrigued by cameras since I was 5. Always striving for that perfect shot to tell the story in front of the lens. I have found that photography has abilities that human eyes lack: being able to slow down time or completely freeze it.
With almost 1.2 trillion photos taken in 2016 alone (or almost 40,000 a second), it can be hard to stand out, but I try to find the most unique angles possible when photographing my subjects.
YouTube has been one of the most important tools enabling me to learn and improve my photography throughout the years. You can really learn anything about anything from the online collections of videos at your disposal!
Currently, I am a senior at The Rivers School, excited to continue pursuing my passion for photography in college. I try not to go anywhere without my camera, even if I am confident I won’t need it. The worst feeling is missing the shot. My family travels a lot and I find these places are the best to photograph because of the all new and unique scenes we encounter.
