Alli Carroll, born and raised in the middle of no where Maine, ventured to central New York to obtain a B.F.A with a Specialization in Photography from Cazenovia College. Moving to another rural area however, did not broaden her horizons as much as she had hoped. She then moved to Chicago for the summer of 2012 to pursue her dreams in photography. Being that it was quite a culture shock, her experience in the windy city changed her for life. She returned to Cazenovia with a passion and craving for photographic self-portraiture. She finds the journey of self-reflection very powerful and its struggle of an ever changing self intrigues her tremendously. She now bases the majority of her work around the concept of identity in a narrative or documentary setting.
