Hi! My name is Haley Blackstone and I graduated in May 2015 from The University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Studio, with a concentration in Fine Art Photography. I am working out of my home bases in Midland, Texas and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
My love of photography started when I was only eight years old, when my parents gave me a point-and-shoot camera I wouldn’t put down. One of my biggest influences was was my Grandmother, Doris Steider, a well known Southwestern artist. Even though I only got to spend 17 years with her, I am still inspired every day by my grandmothers dedication to creating exceptional works of fine art.
During high school, I started photographing my friends and soon began taking their senior portraits. I occasionally photographed weddings, families and babies, but my love for photography soon became even greater when I served as an intern with the highly respected photographers of K.Mari Photography. My experience as an intern with K.Mari was the turning point at which I discovered photography was my passion that I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life. I love to capture the joy in my clients’ lives so they can cherish those moments for a lifetime.
When I was younger, every time someone asked me "if you could have one super power, what would it be?" The answer was always, "I want to be able to freeze time.” In a way I guess you could say that was my destiny.
