Creative Statement
Photography nowadays has become prominent to the society for its creative use of art and its versatility. Some people use the camera for personal reasons such as snapshots to make memories; commercial use to make money; and to make art as a means of personal expression. My favourite type of photography is landscape photography. I like how it captures the natural beauty of the environment. When I take pictures of nature, I like to let the natural colour of the light come through in the photos, in order to celebrate the natural beauty of the landscape . Normally, landscape photos are for capturing nature but I like to also apply my imagination in my photos by means of adding a human element to add different stories and scenarios in different locations. However, it’s not always easy to take landscape photos, it involves the attention to the intensity of the details. I feel there is always more to learn, so I would like to focus my attention on applying the rule of thirds and leading lines to my future photographic work.
