Creative Statement

Tristan Duplichain. I'm just a short tattooed girl from Jackson, Mississippi. I love Karaoke. I love a good joke. I'm a health nut. I love the gym. I watch Youtube daily. I enjoy Dragonball z on a Sunday afternoon and eating sushi with wasabi to the point of crying!

When it comes to photography, I'm not quite sure what I am. I like to compare myself to a chameleon. Other people may say this is a bad thing in the photo industry, but I think its great that I'm able to adapt to my surroundings and photograph any situation given to me no matter what it may be. My passion is definitely Fashion. I love shooting editorial, but I find myself loving the energy I get from capturing stills of musicians. I found that I love getting to photograph engagements and weddings and sharing a bond with my clients from start to finish. They may be strangers at first, but towards the end of our road together they feel more like family and it's so great knowing this couple trusts me with one of the biggest days of their life, this often leads into photographing their family and children which is such a rewarding honor.

My passion for photography really hit me at fifteen. I loved taking self portraits and photoshopping them for hours upon hours. I cannot tell you how many nights I have spent staying up until 4am watching photoshop tutorials online.

I wanted to take that and make other people feel good about themselves like it always did for me. I took my interest and went to college at 17 and graduated a month before my 19th birthday. Since graduating Summa Cum Laude with my degree in photography, I have wanted nothing more than to live my life making people feel confident about themselves through my images.

I want a good quality product that someone can look back on and be proud of for years to come. There's a great deal of satisfaction that comes with boosting someones confidence when they see a finalized photograph. I'm currently working three/four jobs, in hopes to flourish my photography full time. I have been photographing for 11 years now! I have been lucky enough to work with Mississippi Magazine which has given me multiple cover and editorial opportunities that can be seen on their website and other links on my website. I am Adobe certified in Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash. I have won numerous awards with my graphic design pieces and photographs. If I could have one wish come true, it would definitely be to have my images published in Vogue or Elle... I love love LOVE fashion!
